A Vehicle for

Broadening Participation.

March 11-12, 2016

Highlights of the workshop

WHAT it is all about

In the metro Atlanta area, a number of research groups are interested in computational and systems biology at several large universities and small colleges, including several HBCUs. This critical mass of expertise in quantitative biology in Atlanta offers a great opportunity to build a local network of collaboration. This collaborative network will not only strengthen research and education capacity of quantitative biology at small colleges, but also build a pipeline to broaden participation in the computational biosciences by encouraging underrepresented minority students to enroll in graduate programs at large universities.
